Student Anthology

PW publishes Growing Writers, an annual anthology of student writing.  This features the work of pupils of those members who are teachers, in any grade through college.  Now non-teaching members are invited to submit the writing of their school-age children or grandchildren.

The guidelines are very general: unless space permits the editor will choose between pieces submitted by any one child; the language must be appropriate for an audience through middle school; all work should be single-spaced for brevity, and submissions are welcome electronically, but must then be accompanied by signed permissions forms by fax.  Non-teaching members do not need do get a teacher’s signature for their children’s work, however.  Also, students over 18 do not need guardian signatures, but would still need the signatures of the PW member-teacher who is submitting their work to the anthology. --Marci Woods

Join the Rogues Gallery!

Your ever humble Web Mangler has a request: send me a headshot! I would like to add pictures of ourselves to our profiles in future membership directories, printing-technology- and directory-publisher-willing, so we can all put faces with names. (OK, I speak primarily for myself.) For now I'll let your conscience and whimsy be your guide. See the examples below, then see what you can find lying around your hard drive, and send it to me at peninsulawriters@att.net. Thanks!
