Peninsula Writers offers a week-long writers' retreat in June on Glen Lake, near Traverse City, Michigan. This week affords writing, sharing, helpful suggestions, camaraderie, beautiful sights, rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Three graduate credits from Aquinas College are also available.
PW also offers a weekend get-away conference/retreat in the early Fall, also at Glen Lake. One Aquinas College graduate credit is available.
From the opening ceremonial "flag-raising," to the closing night read-around, "Writing Camp Heaven" is filled with plenty of time for individual writing, small group sharing, relaxation, and camaraderie.
If you're a lover of words (or roasted marshmallows), you'll especially enjoy the nightly campfires, where, under the starlit sky, "campers" read their own works (or that of some other more commercialized writers), warm their muses, and otherwise engage in writerly pursuits-- pontification and procrastination among the favorites.
